Bolly Tolly News,Kolkata 12th june ,2017 : Model turn actor Yash Dasgupta is known for his debut in Bengali television ‘Bojhe na se Bojhe na’. Yash Dasgupta won the Glam King title in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata. He shifted his base to Mumbai to pursue career in acting and joined acting school, got his first break as actor in Television Industry. Yash who due to numerology changed his spelling to ‘Yashh’ was previously seen in National Television is all set to mark his debut in Tollywood under Venkatesh films.Yash Dasgupta was born to Dipak Dasgupta and Jayati Dasgupta. He is the only child of his parents. In his early childhood, he travelled all over India due to his parent's transferable work.He has lived in Delhi, Mumbai among others due to that he attended schools at different places. He has graduated from Madhya Pradesh. His interest in acting came from these formative years, as he was very fond of extracurricular activities.
The actor who was seen in Hindi serials like Bandini, Basera, Na Aana Is Desh Laado to name a few, in an interview with Bolly Tolly News , speaks about his journey from television to the film industry.Dasgupta won the Glam King title in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata.Thereafter, he shifted his base to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and joined an acting school after which he got his first break as actor in Television Industry. Yash said in an interview , "I attended an acting workshop at Roshan Taneja's acting school and worked in a few Hindi serials too. Dasgupta began his acting career in selective roles on national television. He played a fun loving son as Suraj Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi in Bandini (TV series) . A character with grey shades as Ketan Sanghvi with Ram Kapoor in Basera (2009 TV series) He played the role of Karan (Santosh's son, Diya and Jhanvi's cousin brother), in Na Aana Is Des Laado, a story which dealt with the social evil of female infanticide, and concentrates on the problems faced by women in a male-dominated world. Yash did episodic roles as Viraj, a Mime Artist in Adaalat. He also enacted Demon Kalketu in a mythology called Mahima Shanidev kii.
After Adaalat with Ronit Roy, he was on a lookout for meaty roles.In Kolkata earlier on Yash had also participated in ETV Bangla celebrity dance reality show "Ritur Mela Jhoom Tara Ra Ra" which was directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee In Mumbai he were a part of the Television Industry. then he came to Kolkata from Mumbai to be a hero but then he landed up on TV? in an interview he said that t’s true that I came to Kolkata to be a part of Tollywood and not just television. But when I was offered the role of Bojhe na se Bojhe Na and after reading the script, I decided to do it. Aranya Singha Roy of Bojhena Shey Bojhena was nothing less than a film hero. The way the serial and my character were treated, was on a par with any film. ASR became a household name. Don’t you remember how I got mobbed when I went for a Durga Puja shoot? But then, I am thankful to Manida (Mahendra Soni), who kept his word and gave me a break in movies.
When he offered me the role of ASR, he promised that he will launch me in the industry. When he called me to speak about the offer he said that since I am extremely popular among the audience, so it will be a project that can do justice to my fandom. It will be an out-and-out commercial film, as I can connect with the masses well. He also assured me that he will give me time to prepare before the film goes on floor.When we asked him about something about the film? His reply I can’t say much, as I am not supposed to but can say that my co-star is Mimi Chakraborty, and as I have mentioned earlier that it is a love saga and is completely a commercial movie. We will shoot in Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderbad and Istanbul (Turkey) and is directed by Birsa Dasgupta. The movie is scheduled to release this Puja.
