Bolly Tolly News, Kolkata, 11th September 2018 : মাঝেরহাট সেতু ভেঙে পড়ায় পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার যে ভাবে মেট্রো রেল কর্তৃপক্ষকে জোকা-বি বা দী বাগ মেট্রোর কাজ এখন বন্ধ রাখতে বলেছে, তাতে ক্ষুব্ধ রেল মন্ত্রক। বিষয়টি নিয়ে মেট্রো কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে বিশদে জানতে চাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রেল। সূত্রের দাবি, মেট্রোর রিপোর্ট পেলেই তার ভিত্তিতে রাজ্যকে অসন্তোষ জানিয়ে চিঠি লিখবে পীযূষ গয়ালের মন্ত্রক। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় দ্বিতীয় দফায় রেলমন্ত্রী থাকাকালীন ২০১০ সালে ওই প্রকল্প ঘোষণা করেছিলেন। প্রাথমিক ভাবে ২০১৬ সালের মধ্যে কাজ শেষের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছিল। পরে তা বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ২০২০-তে। জমি অধিগ্রহণে জট, নকশাজনিত সমস্যা ইত্যাদি কারণে এমনিতেই চার বছর দেরিতে চলছে মেট্রো প্রকল্প। এরই মধ্যে রাজ্য সরকার কাজ বন্ধ করতে বলায় সমস্যায় রেল। সে ক্ষেত্রে শেষ পর্যন্ত কবে যে কাজ শেষ হবে, বুঝতে পারছেন না রেলকর্তারা। আজ মন্ত্রকের এক শীর্ষ কর্তা বলেন, ‘‘এমনিতেই পশ্চিমবঙ্গের রেল প্রকল্পে হাজারো সমস্যা। তার মধ্যে রাজ্য প্রশাসন বাধা হয়ে দাঁড়ালে কাজ এগোবে কী করে!’’
