Bolly Tolly News, Kolkata, 30th July2017 : After hosting dance and reality shows and also four seasons of the show, Science of Stupid,
Maniesh Paul is back for another outing of the quirky show. Mr. Paul also said
that he used to stay away from mathematics and commerce during his school days.
"I was in humanities as I always wanted to stay away
from maths and commerce. I did my graduation in tourism. I won't say that I was
an outstanding student and I won't say that used to flunk in studies. Main utna
hi padhta tha jitna zaroori hota tha. And I think it has got me to a decent
place," Manish told IANS on phone from Mumbai.
He will be seen in a different look this time, more of a
nerd. It's all to make it funny and engaging, but his antics will remain
intact.
Science of Stupid is a comedic television series on the
National Geographic Channel. The United Kingdom version of the show was
initially hosted by Richard Hammond, later replaced by Dallas
Campbell.Localised versions are produced in other territories with hosts such
as Manish Paul in India, Ramon Bautista in the Philippines and Ymke Wieringa in
the Netherlands. Versions are also broadcast in Latin America (one in Argentina
and other in Mexico, with same title), Brazil, Germany,
Swati Mohan, Vice President, Programming & Content, NGC
Networks and FOX International Channels, said, “At Nat Geo, we always endeavor
to present a combination of fun and knowledge through our content. Science of
Stupid is an extension of the same thought where the basic principles of
science are explained through these hilarious ‘ouch’ inducing moments captured
on camera by people from around the world. With a host like Manish Paul,
viewers can look forward to a fun ride while learning the science behind all
that is stupid.”
Manish Paul is set to be the voice over and host for a brand
new show on the channel- ‘SCIENCE OF STUPID’, which premieres July 21st on NGC.
The first episode aired on 21 July 2014. In this show, science of action is
described in several different daily routine activities like sports, stunts,
adventures, and things that should not be done at home. Science of Stupid shows
some funny videos and explains the science behind them. The motto of the show
is "Learn the science behind the action and remain safe". The videos
are normally recorded by people themselves. The second season of the show
started airing from 2 March 2015. The show puts together hilarious home shot
videos where Manish gives his funny take and then goes on to explain the
science behind it. The show is entertaining, humorous and will make you fall of
your seats!
So far, he has hosted
fun-filled shows and his tryst with hosting began with Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein, in
which he used to visit people's houses. After that, he replaced Jay Bhanushali
as the host of Zee TV's dance reality show Dance India Dance (DID).
Manish, who travelled a lot recently, has videos of him
bungee jumping, surfing and jet skiing among others. “These videos have turned
out to be quite funny. When I went jet skiing in Istanbul, I gave my cam pro to
a person and told him to shoot me. When I came back and saw the video, it only
had the face of the guy shooting the video and everything else except me! In
Dubai, when I went surfing I told my brother to shoot the video. Somehow I
wasn’t able to get into the right position. I was getting confused about how to
hold the board and get into the water. Finally, I managed, but in the video, I
look hilarious,” "This time it's not just the entertainment, but also a
lot of information," "People
will enjoy the show, as they will get both at the same time. All of us have
tried to mess around with science at some point of time in our lives. I just
want to say that there's a logic behind everything," added Manish, who
also hosted dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
If he made the audience laugh a zillion times with his wit
and humour, now he is all set to entertain and educate them with Science Of
Stupid, which will goes on air from Monday on National Geographic Channel.
He will be seen mixing fun with science on the show.
