Bolly Tolly News, Kolkata 30th July,2017 : Irfan's next international venture The Song of Scorpions will soon have its official world premiere at the prestigious Locarno International Film Festival. This marks yet another collaboration of the talented duo of director Anup Singh and Irrfan after the critically acclaimed Qissa.
Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan (born 7 January 1967),
credited as Irrfan Khan or simply Irrfan, is an Indian film actor, known for
his work predominantly in Hindi cinema, as well as his works in British films
and Hollywood. Film critics, contemporaries and other experts consider him to
be one of the finest actors in Indian cinema for his versatile and natural
acting. In 2011, Khan received the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian
honour for his contribution to the field of arts.
Khan has garnered the National Film Award for Best
Actor in the 60th National Film Awards 2012, for his performance in Paan Singh
Tomar. Khan has won the 2014 Asian Film Award for Best Actor, three
International Indian Film Academy Awards, three Filmfare Awards, an Independent
Spirit Award nomination, and various international honours. He also hosted a
television show and commercials. As of 2015, he had appeared in more than 50
Indian films in Bollywood, and a few international films, such as Life of Pi,
New York, I Love You, The Amazing Spider-Man and Jurassic World, with a
featured role alongside Tom Hanks in the 2016 adaptation of Dan Brown's novel
Inferno. In September, 2015, he was appointed as the brand ambassador for
"Resurgent Rajasthan", a campaign by the state government of

Alongside this one, Irrfan Khan will also star in a
Hollywood film, Puzzle. It is a female oriented film in which he will be seen
with Kelly Macdonald. The film has been shot in New York. This film will also
star Bubba Weiler (The Good Fight, The Ranger), Austin Abrams (Paper Towns) and
Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet, Top of the Lake). It is an adaptation of an
Argentinian film, Rompecabezas.

poster a delightful touch. Golshifteh, is an Iranian actress, who has
previously worked in big Hollywood films like Paterson, Pirates Of The
Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Body Of Lies. She also has done a
commendable job in Iranian cinema by doing films like The Patience Stone and
About Elly. It has been said that the story of the film is intriguing and it is
set in Jaisalmer. As per reports, Irrfan plays the role of camel trader who
falls in love with a local woman.
Khan, previously in Hollywood, has also starred in
Inferno with Tom Hanks, Jurassic World with Chris Pratt and Ang Lee’s Life of
Pi.
