Bolly Tolly News, Kolkata,19th November 2017: Siddhi Charitable Trust comprising 18 empowered women organised a fundraiser in the aid of underprivileged children at Club Boudoir on Friday November 17 that witnessed an extraordinary turnout of more than four hundred to support the charitable cause. Well known celebrities like Indraneil Sengupta, Subhasree, Hiran, Arunima Ghosh, Rimjhim Mitra, Bickram Ghosh and others were present to cheer the wonderful ladies whose hard work and determination made the event a big success. The fundraiser had music band “Bismil” perform popular numbers and DJ Gauri from Delhi host the show that kept the guests enthralled.
“It
gives us immense satisfaction
to raise funds that will go into providing amenities to children who need them
the most. On the occasion of Children’s Day, we decided to celebrate with the
children from welfare schools run by us. Our only aim is to make them smile,”
said founder-member Priti Agarwal.
Siddhi
has adopted BM Memorial School in Uluberia that has 114 children aged
between four to eight years and provides education and healthcare facilities
along with other necessary amenities. The
organisation has donated a sixteen-seater
bus to BM Memorial School and installed water filters and a generator in the
school apart from providing furniture in the classrooms. Siddhi has
initiated a “Clean your city” campaign and 100 garbage bins have been installed
in many parts of the city.
A few
days back, on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, Siddhi took 200
children to Eco Park Urban Village for a day out. The children were kept
entertained games, contests, prizes in music, art and dance.
The
event was conceptualised and managed by AKG Events.
