BOLLY TOLLY NEWS, KOLKATA 9TH MAY,2018 : The star studded cast of Bollywood film “Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain” consisting of veteran actor Sanjay Misra and Ekavali Khanna, Anshuman Jha, newcomer Shivani Raghuvanshi along with director Harish Vyas was present in the city for a media launch at The Sonnet, Salt Lake on Wednesday May 9, 2018. The film is scheduled to release on May 18, 2018.
The film revolves around a
middle class family where Yashwant (Sanjay Misra) doesn’t appreciate the love
that his wife Kiran (Ekavali Khanna) has for him. It’s a family drama and
explores changing relationships between the middle aged couple. It’s about the
realization that sometimes just loving someone is not enough and expressing
that love is equally important.
“Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain”
is a very unconventional film with an unconventional title. When asked about it,
Harish Vyas who has also written the screenplay said, “No matter who we are or
where we go, we always say “I Love You” in English to express our love for
someone. So, I thought let me use this phrase which is a teaser in itself as
the title of the film.”
Sanjay Misra is a renowned
actor in Bollywood known for his eccentric comedy roles. Taking a departure
from his usual genre, he is very happy that he has been offered such an
interesting role at this point of his journey as an actor. He said, “I am a
common man. Yashwant is also a common man. From North to South, East to West
you will come across many such men who do their duties but don’t know how to
strike an emotional chord with their spouses. Everyone would be able to
identify with the character and the story.”
Ekavali Khanna who played
the role to Kiran has been in the film industry for quite a while now. Being
born in Kolkata, she has featured in Bengali films as well. Her role in the
film was of a housewife who never could understand her husband’s love for her.
She described her character as, “Very simple and beautiful who craves for
nothing other than her husband’s attention and love.”
Anshuman Jha who plays the
character of Jugunu has taken the responsibility to teach Yashwant how to be
romantic. When asked questions about the film, he replied, “Not comparing
animals and humans but I have a dog who is adopted and to make him feel
comfortable I tell him ‘I Love You’ hundred times a day then why can’t we say
‘I Love You’ to humans.”
Last but not the least,
Shivani Raghuvanshi has taken the character of Preeti who is the better half of
Jugunu. According to her, the whole cast had become a family and since the film
was about families and relationships and love, she didn’t feel like she was
performing. “We became like a close knit family on the
sets,” she said.
